I’m a proud New Yorker who grew up summering on the Jersey Shore. More specifically, Long Beach Island. I’d never even been “Out East” until my senior year of high school, when I stayed on my then-boyfriend’s family’s boat docked in East Hampton and spent After Prom Weekend bopping around my friends’ summer homes.
Quite frankly, I couldn’t understand the appeal – I admired the scenic landscapes, but every experience is seemingly an overpriced outpost of what already exists in Manhattan. Moreso–*HOT TAKE*–the Jersey Shore’s beaches are way better.
However, after my jaunt out to Montauk Yacht Club the other week, a switch was flipped: I FINALLY understand the appeal of the Hamptons. Perhaps it’s because I’ve started a new role and can’t in good conscience embark on an extended Euro Summer vacation…or maybe it’s because airline rates are astronomical either way…but I’m making it my mission to explore the Out East like never before. Plus, there’s no better excuse when there’s so much newness.

Montauk
Montauk Yacht Club: Floating Spa by Elemis, Alba Spiaggia, New Members Club & More
What began last year with a boating-focused hotel is expanding into a broader lineup of elevated offerings. Highlights at Montauk Yacht Club include the floating Elemis Spa at The Wellness Cabana offering facials and massages; The Courts racquet center (opening June 15 in partnership with Wilson with a strong focus on Padel alongside tennis and pickleball); Alba Spiaggia from Chelsea’s Cucina Alba team serving seasonal seafood, pastas, and wood-fired pizzas; and the new MYC Social & Sports Club membership granting access to The Courts, the new Lighthouse Lounge, two pools, and the Wellness Cabana.
Barlume Beach by LDV Hospitality
Opened over MDW, Barlume Beach is LDV Hospitality’s latest Hamptons venture, pairing a 19-room hotel with a bar and beach club. The design leans into a bright seaside and open-air seating with water views throughout, while the Mediterranean-leaning menu and standout cocktails–like the Coconut Espresso Martini–anchor a menu of raw bar items, pastas, and elevated summer classics such as the Chilled Lobster Roll with optional truffle or caviar accompaniments.
Montauk General Store
Founded by Katie Diament during her senior year of college, Montauk General Store began as a series of pop-ups centered on her signature matcha drinks and merch that quickly developed a cult following. Now in its first permanent establishment, the airy, plant-filled shop feels like a relaxed retreat for matcha aficionados and features exclusive apparel and merch not available anywhere else.
Marram: Matcha Maker in Residence, The Custom Onia Suite & More
Marram is leaning into a slower, experience-driven stay this season with a series of brand collaborations and in-room activations. Highlights include a redesigned beachfront suite created with Onia featuring a curated wardrobe; MAKE Matcha’s in-residence program serving custom drinks at Mostrador alongside Matcha Mondays; and workshops from influencer Lindsay Silberman’s hospitality-inspired luxury fragrance brand Hotel Lobby Candle.
The Summer EDITION Montauk, Presented by American Express
After last year’s summer residency in Ibiza, EDITION Hotels is bringing its seasonal cultural residency stateside for the first time, with a weekend activation at The Crow’s Nest from Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26. Set on Lake Montauk, the activation will combine wellness, dining, and programming, with select events and chef-led dinners reserved for eligible American Express Platinum and Centurion cardholders.
Hotel Corduroy
Taking over the former Sunset Montauk, Hotel Corduroy brings a fresh design-forward approach to the East End with 29 rooms evoking Montauk’s surf culture and bohemian community. Located near Sunset Beach and the marina, the property boasts stylish environs, plenty of communal spaces, and private beach access.
Bagatelle at Gosman’s Dock
The beloved Gosman’s Dock has introduced Bagatelle as one of its latest concepts. Ahead of its Manhattan reopening, the storied lunch, dinner, and late-night venue celebrating the spirit of Saint Tropez, guests will once again enjoy Bagatelle’s vivacious atmosphere and magnums of rosé.
Chelsea Living Room at Gurney’s Montauk
Chelsea Living Room debuted at The Dune Lounge within Gurney’s, reimagining the space as an upscale, ocean-facing hangout. Expect CLR’s typical caviar-topped dishes and elevated comforts alongside playful drinks like pickled martinis and spiked iced tea. Live music is rolling out in July.
Popeyes x The Surf Lodge
Popeyes is bringing its signature Louisiana-style chicken to The Surf Lodge through a season-long partnership that places them at the center of one of Montauk’s most recognizable dining traditions: the Chicken Tender Tower. Beyond the menu takeover, the collab will include exclusive merch, plus special events and programming throughout the venue’s highly anticipated summer concert series.
Amagansett
Lulu and Georgia x The Reform Club
The LA-based home decor brand Lulu and Georgia unveiled a seasonal takeover at The Reform Club. The property’s garden and communal spaces will be transformed with Lulu and Georgia’s best-selling outdoor collection, anchored by The Lanata signature green stripe. Soak up the sun sprawled atop these effortlessly chic chaise loungers and sofas.
Jamagansett
After launching last summer, Jamagansett has opened its first brick-and-mortar shop, giving customers a dedicated place to explore small-batch, fruit-driven preserves. The new storefront showcases the full jam lineup with freshly baked jammy treats and seasonal bites, plus merch and homewares.
Sett Coffee
Husband-and-wife team John and Kelly Piccinnini opened the new café project Sett Coffee in Amagansett Village, with a menu that spans espresso drinks, teas, seasonal specialties, and rotating baked goods.
East Hampton
JJUIN
JJUIN, the home décor brand founded by former Valentino executive June Haynes, is opening its first lifestyle boutique, with a selection of artisan-made decorative pieces sourced from Asia, Africa, and Europe. Originally launched online in 2025, JJUIN is known for blending global craftsmanship with contemporary design to provide distinctive, timeless pieces for modern homes.
East Hampton Bar Car at LIRR Station
The historic East Hampton Long Island Rail Road Station is being reimagined with the upcoming Bar Car East Hampton, a new café-to-wine-bar within the restored 1895 station building. Quick morning breakfast for commuters will transition into an evening wine bar with a tailored menu and indoor/outdoor seating.
Second Annual Camp Rubirosa
Camp Rubirosa, the seasonal East Hampton outpost of New York’s Rubirosa, is back for its second summer, once again bringing its famed Italian-American menu and easygoing hospitality to the East End. The pop-up (presented by Resy) is designed as a warm-weather gathering spot for relaxed meals and evenings out, centered around familiar favorites.
Sagaponack
Jean’s to Revive Old Stove Pub
Restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow recently acquired the longtime home of the former Old Stove Pub for $4.5 million, with plans for his son, Max, and Ashwin Desmukh to revive it with their Manhattan hotspot Jean’s. While the more seasonal, beach-influenced menu won’t be feasible until 2027, they’ll activate the space this summer with pop-up dinners and private events.
Bridgehampton
Kith Women x Vivrelle
The first Kith Women x Vivrelle summer pop-up has arrived, pairing Kith’s womenswear, activewear, and kids’ collection with a curation of designer handbags and jewelry available to borrow or buy courtesy of Vivrelle. Designed with an airy and easygoing East End aesthetic, the space features an outdoor patio serving treats, matcha, and coffee from Ronnie’s Pronto.
Nourish
The new seasonal restaurant Nourish, from the team behind The Roundtree Amangansett and led by world-renowned Chef Dewa Wijaya, opened last month.
Sag Harbor & Shelter Island
Faraway Sag Harbor
Blue Flag Capital, the design-driven hospitality real estate private equity group revered for its collection of properties on Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, is expanding its Faraway Hotels brand for the first time. Faraway Sag Harbor is a waterfront retreat housed in the former Baron’s Cove property. The 67-room hotel will feature coastal-inspired interiors, the Amalfi Coast-influenced restaurant Zagara, a pool, and wellness amenities all within walking distance of Sag Harbor Village and Havens Beach.
Babe’s Diner
Babe’s serves diner classics with locally sourced ingredients for breakfast and lunch at its eight-seat bar. Beyond its intimate yet family-friendly daily service, the team will host seasonal supper club events featuring guest chefs and creatives from NYC and beyond.
Mahjong & Martinis at The Pridwin Hotel & Cottages
Sunday evenings at The Pridwin now feature Mahjong & Martinis, a weekly gathering combining guided instruction from Hamptons Mahjong with a specialty cocktail menu by New York Cocktail Company, conceptualized by the Dante team. Explore this new summer social ritual on Crescent Beach.
Southampton + Water Mill
Maison Close at Capri
Maison Close is the latest and greatest at Capri Southampton, fusing the hotel’s sunny Amalfi Coast aesthetic with South of France ideals. The main indoor dining room will extend to the pool and garden area, with dinner effortlessly evolving into late evenings filled with drinks and cabaret-style performances. The grand opening celebration is set for June 11.
Charlie Fox x oHHo Pop-Up
Starting June 19, Charlie Fox will host the Hamptons’ inaugural oHHo non-alcoholic bottle pop-up, showcasing their cannabis-infused seltzers alongside select zero-proof spirits from brands like Ghia and Bero.
World Cup Watch Party at Calissa
Calissa, one of the Hamptons’ most popular Greek restaurants and nightlife destinations, is hosting immersive World Cup watch parties that combine match screenings, elevated dining, craft cocktails, and live performances throughout the tournament.
Common Ground Reopening
They have yet to make a formal announcement, but Common Ground quietly changed its address on Instagram to a new Southampton locale.
Westhampton + Hampton Bays
Canoe Place Inn & Cottages Hosts Bar Rêve Residency
Bar Rêve brings its New York-meets-Paris cocktail culture to Canoe Place from July 6-12. Guests can enjoy expertly crafted drinks in The Study each evening, while poolside spritzes and mixology-inspired ice creams capture the easygoing spirit of the French aperitif tradition.
PopUp Bagels
The “not famous but known” chain breaking the mold with bagels for dipping in schmears, PopUp Bagels, opens at 130 Main Street on June 12th.
